Conrad and Amber says goodbye to Africa. For a while

Amber and I are about to get on the plane tomorrow and celebrated our farewell with good friends, good food and good training in some of the most beautiful settings in the world…

On our rest day we met a number of friends for a rustic fare-well lunch at the legendary Strandloper near Langebaan. The food is made there on the fire and its very rustic and exquisite. Between courses we’d wander around on the rocks and look for sharks.

The food is real Caveman style… Of course the athletes made a killing of the buffet seafood. Or tried to anyway. (Lets just say there were some eating injuries)

Amber’s South African culinary favorites are: Savanna (pictured), biltong and koeksisters. MMMmMmm

Then my good mate Dylan and his girlfriend Jonine hosted us at their hide away at lazy Yzerfontein. We did some fun riding on the beach and found some fun singletrack….
