More good stuff from Rockshox
July 30th, 2007 by Conrad Stoltz
The Clever Guys at BlackBox Racing (Rockshox R&D) developed this spunky new racing fork. It clocks in at about 150g lighter than the Reba, has 100mm of travel, fat (read “rigid”) stanchions and believe me, it’s as plush as a vintage Lazy Boy.
I cant say too much. Other than there are only 9 forks out there, and YES, IT GOES LIKE HELL!

Note the hollow undersides of the stanchions. Nothing is lighter than broad daylight!
Other things you may notice:
- The grippy tire is Specialized’s new The Captain. I like it so much, I’ll be riding it at Worlds in Maui. The Armadillo, of course. (Armoured casing)
- Dont worry about the (seemingly superflous) red paint on the bike- its my training bike- the Rocketship is under lock and chain till race week.
