Zappos.com rocks

I visited Zappos with Avia last week. Wow, what a place. Sure, they are in Las Vegas, but the people in the company are pretty amazing.  Young, hip, creative and maybe somewhat kooky? (Kooky- Wait, thats like the pot calling the kettle black!)

Zappos is also the worlds largest online store and recently turned $6million in sales in one day! They say the key to their success is fanatical customer service. Well, I think there are a few other reasons for their success too… Like within 45minutes of placing your order, the shoes are already in the mail! (their distribution center is next to Fedex’ main hub in Kentucky)

A truely amazing story of a guy Tony Hsieh (the founder) who wanted to buy specific shoes in a store and after many stops, couldnt find them, so he thought there should be an online store that sells all shoes.
