(the big race, not the old man&#8217;s race) And he did it on a Specialized Rockhopper 29er! (mid range aluminium frame)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1970\" title=\"ned-overend-stumpy-rockhopper\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conradstoltz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/ned-overend-stumpy-rockhopper.jpg\" alt=\"ned-overend-stumpy-rockhopper\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I took this pic at the Specialized 2011 bike launch in Keystone, CO. Not quite sure how he went up that mountain at that altitude with 1 gear?!? (I needed all 20 gears) Maybe that&#8217;s why they a call him &#8220;Deadly Nedly&#8221; or &#8220;The Lung.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One of my favourite Ned quotes: &#8220;I only stretch when I&#8217;m injured&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1971\" title=\"ned-overend-stretching\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conradstoltz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/ned-overend-stretching.jpg\" alt=\"ned-overend-stretching\" width=\"640\" height=\"460\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/iamspecialized.com\/rider\/todd-wells\" target=\"_blank\">Todd Wells<\/a> took the Specialized 29er theme further and won US Nationals in Granby CO on the new S-works Epic 29er. Aileen did Ireland so proud in Hamburg placing 3rd, the first  World Cup Medal ever by a<span class=\"text_exposed_hide\">&#8230;<\/span><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">n Irish athlete!!
