A fun weekend’s dirt bike riding!
I built a short Enduro track through a stream and some dongas on our farm. My mate Werner came over for the day and we rode till dark. Serious fun and hard work! I finished my long run 1st thing in the morning and had the day free for fun “XTERRA training”…
This was my last real riding opportunity as I leave for the USA XTERRA season on Friday. (20 March)
The summit of my farm at 2000m+. The road does not really exsist anymore, so it was a really tough (loose and rocky) climb. Call it “Roof of Wildebeesthoek”!
Werner van der Merwe did his 1st XTERRA last month- he uses XTERRA as training for this years’ Roof of Africa “HardEnduro”. One of the worlds’ 5 toughest enduros. I use “Roof training” as XTERRA prep. Or thats the excuse anyway…
My dad and I went riding Sunday morning. He is a big BMW fan, as you can see. We rode Robbers Pass and Watervalsrivier pass to Pilgrims Rest on his old 1979 BMW 800cc (Left) and new GS 1200 for brunch.
