Hi Conrad,

I am searching for a strava upload for the new XCO (5,5km) circuit at Coetzenburg that will be used for the SA XCO Champs on 18th July. Any way you are able to assit?

Many Thanks

Andre

Howzit Andre, I’ll go ride the Stellenbosch XCO loop before next weekend and upload it to Strava for you. I cant guarantee the exact
layout, as they add various little loops on the soccer field (start/finish area) which we wont know for sure till its marked out.

You should come down early and ride the course a day or 2 before. Its is quite technical and you need to learn which lines you’re going to take. There’s a big gap jump which, if you take it, will save you about 10″ per lap.

Good luck, see you there.

Cheers
C

Conrad:

Enjoyed watching you on TV at the Xterra Championship. My company produces several trathlon in Georgia, US and we are planning on a Xterra race this year. If you are in the US in September would it be possible to get you to Atlanta to do some prerace clinics and possibly race if it meets your training and racing plans for the year.

Hey Jim

Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately I wont be in the Atlanta area in Sept. All the best for your races though.

Hit me up on social media, and I’ll help you promote the race.

Conrad

Hi Conrad

I desperately need to get hold of some Hoka One One shoes for my training group in Gauteng. Could you help me with a South African contact please.

Thanks

Glen, I feel your pain. Raoul de Jongh in Ape Town is your man. According to plan, Hoka should be available in SA now any time…

Conrad,

My father, Ron Hill, has been competing in xTerra Tri’s for a number of years, and the last 5 world championships in Maui – he is the oldest competitor at age 75.

He crashed on the bike this year at mile 18, in the lead. It turns out he fractured his pelvis in 5 places. He was flown from Maui to Oahu for surgery and has been at the hospital since the race.

He is usually a very upbeat and positive guy, but today has been a rough day for him.

I am writing to see if you could send him a word or encouragement or give him a call. He thinks very highly of you and would really be encouraged to hear from you.

My mom’s cell phone number is (208) 755-2734, you can call the hospital at : 808.538.9011 or you can e-mail him at the hospital at http://www.queensmedicalcenter.net/email-a-patient-form

Thanks.

Matt Hill
